The BRIFAULT project

Behind Brifault, there are the Brifaults.

A French-Malagasy family in Paris, who set out to create small-diameter watches around the living room table.

We like a familiar silhouette and a legible dial, natural colors, and details with character.

Here you will find a behind-the-scenes look at the design and manufacture of our watches, with a few words about what drives us.

Our philosophy

We want to return to the tangible and focus our attention on those around us. Our pieces are meant to be looked at closely and handled often.

We use premium materials even in the smallest details (steel movement holder, Hytrel and Teflon seals, sapphire crystal, full-grain leather, etc.) and manufacturing techniques that preserve our watches.

We select our partners for their expertise and the quality of our interactions. Assembling in Shenzhen, a global hub for watch component manufacturing, allows us to offer a beautiful watch at a fair price.

We would like to make fewer models but put a lot of ourselves into them, at a pace that, like our pieces, can be sustained over the long term.

A LITTLE NOTE

"

I grew up in Madagascar, where I learned a pace that I still carry with me, even after more than a decade working in tech in Paris. We always waited, friction was part of the way we lived and created, and we took care of what we had.

The first watch that left an impression on me was my father's Breitling chronograph. He wore it throughout my youth. In 2013, he sold it to help me pay for a semester of studying abroad. I still think about it sometimes.

I make Brifault for those who have only a few things, but they matter: a leather wallet bought with a first salary, a gold pendant received as a gift. These objects remind us of moments and people.
